REJOICE!!!

The Lord says, “Shout and rejoice, O beautiful Jerusalem, for I am coming to live among you. - Zechariah 2:10 NLT

Think about this, if the president comes to live with you, how will your life be? If you eat once a day or have no bathroom or you are being kicked out by your landlord or your house is being repossessed, do you think the president will fold hands and watch you and him suffer? If we can trust the president, how about God our Father!

Isaiah 12:2. says "See, God has come to save me. I will trust in him and not be afraid. The Lord God is my strength and my song; he has given me victory.”

Many think that God is angry at us. If God is angry at us none will be alive. The Lord said "for I have come to save the world and not to judge it.(John 12:47 ) So why can't we trust him. Maybe we trust the president we can see and not the Lord we cannot see. That's why we don't shout and rejoice as He said in our opening verse.

Psalms 33:21 says "In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name".In another place it says "Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship, for they will walk in the light of your presence, Lord . They rejoice all day long in your wonderful reputation. They exult in your righteousness. (Ps 89:15‭-‬16)

Do you hear the joyful sound? Are we walking in the light of His presence?

Remember "You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Psalms 16:11

Psalms 98:2 tells us that "The Lord has made his salvation known and revealed his righteousness to the nations." In the past, God's righteousness, that is his goodness, rightness and justice was hidden to all because of our sins. But now is revealed to us in Jesus.

Imagine if the world is filled with the rightness of God, God's own way of doing things right, how sweet the world will be. That means no sickness, hatred, wretchedness and no untimely death, "for those who lives in Zion shall not say am sick" 2 Peter 3:13 says "But we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth he has promised, a world filled with God’s righteousness"

This is the kingdom Christ brought to us, although not fully consummated yet, but we are living in it now. And they that live in his kingdom live in his righteousness. Moreso, we are the righteousness of God in Christ.

That is why David said "Mercy and loving-kindness and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. Truth shall spring up from the earth, and righteousness shall look down from heaven". Psalm 85 11- 12.

Psalm 23:3 says "He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. That means we will never fail in life. God really blessed us in Christ. We shall never walk in the path of

ungodliness,sickness, untimely death, wretchedness.

The Bible says "Righteousness will go before Him, And shall make His footsteps our pathway(Psalms 85:13 ) That means all the days of our lives, we will be walking in the pathway of God's divine will for us, He himself orders our own steps according to his will. And we know that his divine plan is for good not bad.

Our duty is to Follow the Lamb as the Bible says in Rev 14:4. We will walk beside still waters and green pastures.They Lord said “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is good for you and leads you along the paths you should follow.(Isaiah 48:17)

Brothers and sisters, we should be praising God for uniting us with Jesus. This is the good news of which the angels said to the shepherds “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. (Luke 2:10 )

Luke 1:79 says " The Light from Heaven will guide us to the path of peace.” Think of what it is for you to walk in the path of peace all the days of your life. You are not worried about bad news, you are not worried about tomorrow, for come what may, we are at peace. That is the life Jesus brought to us.

That is why David said "So we will not be afraid, even if the earth is shaken and mountains fall into the ocean depths; even if the seas roar and rage, and the hills are shaken by the violence. The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge."

Psalms 46:2‭-‬3‭, ‬7

Brothers and sisters, under God's righteousness, we are never forgotten or neglected, no one is termed insignificant. Once we remain in Jesus,He will surely locate us at the right time and give us our fair share in his kingdom. He knows everyone in his flock, non is forgotten

The Lord said " Look up into the heavens. Who created all the stars? He brings them out like an army, one after another, calling each by its name. Because of his great power and incomparable strength, not a single one is missing.(Isaiah 40:26)

No worries, we are worth more than stars!

O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me.

John 17:25 NKJV

God is a righteous Father, righteousness and justice are the foundations of his throne.

Exodus 15:13 says “With your unfailing love you lead the people you have redeemed. In your might, you guide them to your sacred home". We are confident that He will lead us in his righteousness till the coming of Jesus.

The Lord spoke about this through Jeremiah:

“So then, the days are coming,” declares the Lord , “when people will no longer say, ‘As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the Israelites up out of Egypt,’ but they will say, ‘As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the descendants of Israel up out of the land of the north and out of all the countries where he had banished them.’ Then they will live in their own land.”Jeremiah 23:7‭-‬8

Because we live in his name, " He leads us in the paths of his righteousness" . That is in paths God's rightness, Holiness, excellence, uprightness and justice. That means no failures, untimely death, and sickness cos they defile his name. God has high regards for his name and hallows it through us.

Brothers and sisters, today's world is filled with many bad news and uncertainties just as the Israelites faced while in the wilderness. Let's be assured that the same way God led them with his unfailing love, He will also lead us, his special possession in his righteousness, till our Lord Jesus returns.

Remember He prayed for us "I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one. -John 17:11

Isaiah 61:8 says “For I, the Lord , love justice. I hate robbery and wrongdoing. I will faithfully reward my people for their suffering and make an everlasting covenant with them.

Our Lord does what is right and just. Psalm 7:17 says " I will thank the Lord because he is just; I will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High". This same king shall reign with us forever. We have all experienced bad and dishonest government, think of how life will be when government rests on the shoulder of Jesus, a righteous judge.

God's way of doing things right is this, He will look upon us and see who He himself made us to be, that is kings and priests and give us what rightfully belongs to us. Sometimes we will see people doing favors for us without asking, it is all because God's face is shining on us in favor and approval.

Remember, "we are joint heirs with Christ and heirs of God", "everything belongs to us" As He said in our opening verse " I will faithfully reward my people for their suffering" Psalm 68:19 says "Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens." So, while we are snoring, He loads us with benefits.

We are currently under his government now, although our earthly circumstances might not reflect this, but we don't judge ourselves by our earthly circumstances, that is by sight, rather by faith in God and what He did for us in Christ. That is why the Bible says that " the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God.

Habakkuk 2:4
