REMEMBER HIS KINDNESS

With all my heart I praise the Lord! I will never forget how kind he has been.

Psalms 103:2 CEV

In the Bible, the Israelites in the desert were shielded from the adverse desert conditions. Psalms 105:39 CEV says, “God hid them under a cloud and guided them by fire during the night.” They became desensitized to God's kindness due to constant supply of cloud by day and fire by night, that they murmured against God, forgetting that without God protecting them with cloud and fire, they could never survive in the desert.

Just as the Israelites, have we become desensitized, familiarized to God's constant shield of mercy, that we live in worries about our earthly circumstances? Have we forgotten that without God shielding us with His mercy, we cannot survive the distress of this fallen world. Isaiah 49:10 NIV says, “They will neither hunger nor thirst, nor will the desert heat or the sun beat down on them. He who has compassion on them will guide them and lead them beside springs of water.”

Because of God’s mercy, those sicknesses, hardships etc we are worried about cannot destroy us, for they were laid on Christ on the cross. Hence we are completely well. (Isaiah 53:5 CEV)

Let's never lose sight of His mercy. Lamentations 3:19-22 CEV says, “Just thinking of my troubles and my lonely wandering makes me miserable. That's all I ever think about, and I am depressed. Then I remember something that fills me with hope. The Lord's kindness never fails! If he had not been merciful, we would have been destroyed.”

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO BE CONSCIOUS OF GOD'S MERCY IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
