Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

Psalms 149:2 NKJV

If the manufacturer of your vehicle lives with you, think of how it will be. Won't you be so joyful and confident. He will even reveal to you many features about your vehicle you don't know about. Have you thought of how it feels to live with our Maker ? I call it a lifetime warranty, because, He won't allow anything to go wrong in our lives.

Our Maker is a righteous judge, He knows what He made, If things are not going the right way, He will smile and say "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God's] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. 1 Peter 2:9 Then He will place us where we belong as his kings and priests.

Just as in the case of the woman that was bent over( see Lk13:12-16), if there's any part of our lives that is bent over, whether it is our marriage, health, finance, spiritual life or even length of days, our Maker will look upon us and say, are these not the seed of Abraham, God's own righteousness, bent over for all these years? Then He will place us where we belong.

So let's be joyful in our Maker, as Isaiah 12:5 says, "Sing praises to the Lord, for He has done excellent things, let this be made known to all the earth."

Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

Psalms 149:2 NKJV

What a glorious thing God did for us that we are united with our Maker. The Bible says that "the person who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with him. (1 Cor 6:17)

Our Maker is the "Shelter of the oppressed" and a good shepherd too. If we are oppressed in any way, He will look at our situation and ask our oppressors "Must my flock feed on what you have trampled and drink what you have muddied with your feet?

(Ez 34:19 )

Then He will care for us, for He said "I will tend them in a good pasture, and the mountain heights of Israel will be their grazing land. There they will lie down in good grazing land, and there they will feed in a rich pasture on the mountains of Israel(Ez 34:14 )

Remember, He made us so we can "display his virtues and perfections", not our virtues and perfections. Just as we put our best products in display, so He displays us, his precious treasure.. That's why the Bible says "Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shines forth. Psalm 50:2

So let us rejoice in our Maker, for "He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world"

Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.

Psalms 95:6 NKJV

God's holy hands of creation have not left us yet until we conform to the image and likeness of his son, that is God's own image and likeness, then we put on our celestial bodies. Even the trials we go through are still part of his creativity. He wants us to be all He is. John 1:13 says this about us "who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but born of God." Remember, the way God gives birth is different from humans.

1 Peter 1:23 says "you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God"

Everyone wants their children to look like them, so is God. God and his word are one and inseparable, so we are with God.

He made us his righteousness in Christ, that is we have a right relationship with him, we are his rightness, his way of doing things right, and his standard of being right. That is the highest order and ranking. The world will look at us as a measure of how God does things right, meaning that we can never get sick or be a failure in life, because God never fail or gets sick.

So, let us worship and bow down for our Maker. Ps 126:2 says "The Lord has done great things for us! We are glad!"

Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.

Psalms 95:6 NKJV

Isaiah 61:10 tells us that "God clothed us with garments of his salvation", so people see us and see what God's salvation looks like. That means He is displaying his salvation through us. That is every aspect of our lives shows that God saves.

Simeon saw God's salvation and said "“Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace, for my eyes have seen Your salvation according to Your word; Which You have prepared before the face of all peoples, A light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, And the glory of Your people Israel.”Lk2:29‭ ‭-‬32

Brothers and sisters, we are called out of darkness into this marvelous light in Jesus to display the work of God's salvation. That is why He made us his masterpiece, every detail in a masterpiece counts and every detail in our lives reflects the image of God.

If you notice in the verse, it says garment, not singlet of salvation because it is expressive. We don't wear our garments as singlets, rather we wear it outside. So we don't hide his salvation, we display it. Psalm 96:2 says "proclaim the good news of his salvation every day." We proclaim it in our day to day lives. We put the word out there and God carries out the work of his salvation. God is the one who confirms the word of his grace, not us.

Therefore, Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker in joyful worship. Psalm 66:2 says "Sing forth the honor and glory of His name; make His praise glorious!"

This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. - Ps 118:24

We know in Genesis 1:31, the Lord confirmed that the day He made is good. Isaiah 46:10 tells us that "God predicts the end from the beginning", and He is the God we trust. Our opening text states that "This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it." So with this confidence, we bless our day with fullness of joy and goodness. We declare "Because it is a day our good Shepherd has made, the sun shall not smite us by the day nor the moon at night"

Brothers and sisters, God made us in his own image and likeness, and the Spirit of Him who created the world lives in us and we are one spirit with him as the scripture says ( 1Cor 6:17) So, we can declare with our mouth, according to his divine will, how we want our day to be, since we are one with him.

2 Cor 1:20 tells us that "all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory"

Since God's will is fulfilled in Jesus, our duty is to declare it, bring it to manifest in our daily lives.

Let's never live our lives in uncertainty or join the world in saying " who knows how today will be", please God help us, let God's will be done", or fear of tomorrow. We have to know we are one Spirit with God and not of this world, therefore cannot conform to the blind customs of this world.

Even our forefathers, every morning before they leave the house, use a kola nut and bless the day the Lord has made, declaring how they want the day to be." We will go and come back in peace" and so on.

Above all we are new breeds, born to live inside Jesus, Who neither sleep nor slumber" that means all our daily needs and protection are packaged in him. We shall rejoice and be glad in him. Psalm 68:19 tells us "He daily bears our burdens." We go day by day rejoicing not worrying what tomorrow will bring because come what may, we will triumph.

Imagine if we bless our days with these words of grace every morning, acclaiming his righteousness, how great our life will be.

No wonder psalm 103:2 days "Praise the Lord , my soul, and forget not all his benefits.

LET'S REJOICE IN OUR MAKER

(YAHWEH HOSEENU) - CONCLUSION

Restore us, O God; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved.

Psalms 80:3

In our text, the psalmist prayed to God on behalf of Israel, the work of his hands, the vine He transplanted from egypt. The psalm goes "You transplanted a vine from Egypt; you drove out the nations and planted it. Boars from the forest ravage it, and insects from the fields feed on it. Return to us, God Almighty! Look down from heaven and see! Watch over this vine", Psalms 80:8‭, ‬13‭-‬14

Today, our Maker, the owner of this vine has come down and has restored us, his beloved vine, for He said “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” Luke 4:18‭, ‬21

So it is for us to receive his salvation and show to the world that Jesus saves. Psalm 96:2 says "Show forth His salvation from day to day. We proclaim it in any aspect of our lives that does not reflect the work of his salvation. That is we proclaim that He died for our sins, and by his resurrection we are raised to new life with him, we proclaim daily until He comes again. As the Bible says "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling" Philippians 2:12

That's why we don't lose heart in trials because it is an opportunity for us to show his salvation. Daniel showed God's salvation in the lion's den and King Darius spoke of God."He rescues and he saves" (Dan 6:27)

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego showed God's salvation in a burning fire and Nebuchadnezar proclaimed " no other god can save in this way.”Daniel 3:29

Brothers and sisters, We are called to display his virtues and excellence - 1 Pet 2:9. "We have treasures in earthen vessels, meaning that our power of excellence is from God." Fear is a tool the enemy uses to prevent us from showing forth God's salvation. If we fear, we display our virtues and excellence instead of God's, our Maker's, thereby we are increasing and the life of God in us is decreasing.

OUR FATHER WHO ART IN HEAVEN

THE LORD OUR TEACHER

This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go. If only you had paid attention to my commands, your peace would have been like a river, your well-being like the waves of the sea.

Isaiah 48:17‭-‬18 NIV

We are the clay in God's hands, and not rocks in his hands. We should be moldable. Just like little children, we have to be teachable, humble and trusting, having open and receptive minds to every word that comes out of God's mouth, even if it doesn't make sense to us, so as for us to be prosperous in life.

The Bible says that "the wisdom of God offers you, long life in her right hand, and riches and honor in her left". Proverbs 3:16

No parent deceives their children, even if they do, God will never deceive us.

Proverbs 21:1 says "The king’s heart is like a stream of water directed by the Lord ; he guides it wherever he pleases". Are we ready to open our hearts to learn from God? Remember, It is useless for you to work so hard from early morning until late at night, anxiously working for food to eat; for God gives rest to his loved ones.(Psalms 127:2)

As He said in our opening verse "If only you had paid attention to my commands, your peace would have been like a river, your well-being like the waves of the sea."
