LET CHRIST BE THE GLORY OF YOUR STRENGTH II

Jesus replied, “If I glorify myself, my glory means nothing. My Father, whom you claim as your God, is the one who glorifies me.

John 8:54 NIV

Let Christ be the glory of our strength in life. For instance, our health might not look good, but we are confident that we are healed by His wounds. For we cannot glorify ourselves rather our glory is from His finished work of the cross. Psalms 73:26 NIV says, “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” This mindset will eliminate all doubts and anxieties of this fallen world, just as the Israelites experienced in the desert.( See psalm 78)

It is awesome that the Lord said that apart from Him we can do nothing.( John 15:5)

This means that our power to do anything is only from Him, hence we can do all things through Him. It is hard to live in worries if we have this knowledge of Christ and make it our mindset. Our life must end in glory irrespective of how it might look, for the same Christ that is our life is our hope of glory.

Abraham had this knowledge of God and rejoiced knowing that His life must end in glory irrespective of how His conditions might appear. Romans 4:17-18 NIV says, “ As it is written: “I have made you a father of many nations.” He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not. Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO LIVE IN SELF DENIAL, FOR CHRIST TO ƁE OUR SOURCE OF GLORY! IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
