GOD CARES

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

Psalms 19:1 NIV

The rooster crows with excitement in the morning to welcome the new day the Lord has made. Yet many children of God wake up with sadness, anxiety and worries. God that gave us a new day, won't He care for us as well? Matthew 6:25 NIV says, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?

Imagine how the Sun starts its day elegantly, blasting its rays per God's command. The Psalmist says that, “ It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, like a champion rejoicing to run his course. It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is deprived of its warmth.” (Psalms 19:5-6 NIV) Even the birds start their days joyfully.

Let us learn to start our days as the sun, like champions rejoicing to run his course for Christ has overcome for us already.

If the rooster lives by its senses, it will not blow his morning trumpet. Let us learn to live by faith in God's care for He truly cares. If God did not save us because we did anything good, why would He stop caring for us now that we have His life?

Let that rooster's early morning call be a call to live the gospel, the good news daily! Let it be a reminder that God’s mercy is new every morning, and we should live the new life God has given us joyfully for old things have passed away!
