You may say to yourselves, “These nations are stronger than we are. How can we drive them out?” But do not be afraid of them; remember well what the Lord your God did to Pharaoh and to all Egypt.
Deuteronomy 7:17-18 NIV
Do not lose heart over the troubles we face in this fallen world, but rather simply remember what the Lord did to those troubles on the cross, His finished work of the cross. Colossians 2:15 NIV says, “ And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.” The Lord has overcome for us.
Just as Moses said to the Israelites in our theme verse, in the same way, in all circumstances, we should remember His finished work of His cross. How? partake in the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. ” Do this in remembrance of me”. 1 Corinthians 11:26 NIV says, “For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.”
Be courageous, just remember His death on the cross, by partaking in holy Communion. For when we do so, we
proclaim His death,His victory over all our troubles until He comes again.
WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO REMEMBER HIS DEATH ON THE CROSS, UNTIL HE COMES AGAIN, TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
THANK YOU JESUS!
