It's true God struck the rock and water gushed out like a river, but can he give his people bread and meat?”

Psalms 78:20 CEV

The children of Israel in our text doubted God's ability to provide for them in the desert. This is God who redeemed them from slavery, providing them with water from rock, yet they didn't trust that He could feed them. “It's true God struck the rock and water gushed out like a river, but can he give his people bread and meat?”

Verse 41 of our theme tells us that they limited God . “Yes, again and again they tempted God, And limited the Holy One of Israel.” (Psalms 78:41 NKJV)

We also limit God in many ways, especially through doubts. For we truly believe that we are saved, yet we doubt God's divine providence and healings. It is true that God saved us , but can He heal or provide for us? Salvation is by the forgiveness of sin, divine providence and healings are part of it. Romans 3:23-24 NIV says, “ for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.”

Let us stand strong in His grace Ephesians 2:8 CEV says, “You were saved by faith in God, who treats us much better than we deserve. This is God's gift to you, and not anything you have done on your own.” On the cross, the Lord received all we deserved, so we can receive all He deserves. A mindset like that will focus on Jesus and not on self, hence cannot limit the power of God in our lives. Let us live in this consciousness.

WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO STAND BY CHRIST AND NOT TO LIMIT GOD IN OUR LIVES IN JESUS NAME AMEN!

THANK YOU JESUS!
