Jesus replied, “If I glorify myself, my glory means nothing. My Father, whom you claim as your God, is the one who glorifies me.
John 8:54 NIV
In the movie Ocean 11, the thieves staged a fake casino heist, the owner of the casino mistook it for a real robbery and called in police without knowing that his call was redirected to the same thieves that staged the fake robbery. They disguised themselves as real cops and robbed the casino. As children born of God, it is not what comes at us that destroys us, rather what comes out of us, our reaction to it.
The enemy has been disarmed on the cross, his only means of attacking us is by deception.1 Peter 5:8 NIV says, “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” He prowls around, knocking on our doors looking for whom to deceive. It Is only those who open doors for him that he will steal from. John 10:10 NIV says, The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
Remember, God has given us a sure testimony. 1 John 5:11NLT says, “ And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.” God has testified that we have His life, that is we are completely well. But the enemy stages fake sickness, hardships etc. Are we accepting God's testimony or that of the enemy? James 4:7 tells us to resist him, stand on the truth and he will flee. Proverbs 3:5 NIV says, “ Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding”
WE PRAY FOR THE GRACE TO LIVE IN SELF DENIAL, FOR CHRIST TO ƁE OUR SOURCE OF GLORY! IN JESUS NAME AMEN!
THANK YOU JESUS!
